Based on requests from students, we have organized a Preparing Future engineering Faculty (PFeF) program for this Fall 2020 semester in cooperation with EASE (ECE graduate student organization). If you are interested in a career in academia and want to learn more about the application, interview, negotiation, and tenure process for an assistant professor in engineering, then this should be a very helpful program for you. There will be eight 1-hour sessions (two per month from Sep. to Dec.) split between seminar-style presentations with Q&A and panel discussions with Q&A. The program is open to all Pratt PhD students and postdocs who register by Wednesday, Sep. 2 at 5pm. Here are the registration and meeting details:
- Meeting Dates/Time: Sep.-Dec. 2020, 1st & 3rd Thursdays, noon-1pm
- 9/3, 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 11/5, 11/19, 12/3, 12/17
- Meeting Place: Zoom — link provided after you register
- Link to register for PFeF:

Those who register and attend at least 7 out of the 8 sessions will receive a certificate of completion (great for the CV!). The attached flyer has more information.
If you have any questions, please contact Prof. Franklin (aaron.franklin@duke.edu) or Angela Chanh (angela.chanh@duke.edu) from ECE who are organizing this program.
